HEREFORDSHIRE Cricket Society will be hosting a talk with Worcestershire County Cricket first team coach Alex Gidman next week.

The talk will take place at Hereford Rowing Club with a 7.30pm start.

Gidman was made first team cricket coach at the end of November after being promoted from second team coach.

Former Gloucestershire captain Gidman first moved to Worcester near the end of his playing career in 2015.

The right-handed batsman scored 11,622 runs in first-class cricket between 2002 and 2015 with an average of 36.31.

Gidman, who has studied psychology, turned to coaching and worked with the MCC Young Cricketers before returning to Worcester.
