LADS Club weathered the storm before surprising title favourites Black Country Rangers by taking a 3-0 victory.

It was only Rangers' third defeat of the season with Hereford FC loanee Adam Hockey showcasing his talent by setting up all three goals for the hosts.

After surviving early pressure Lads Club took the lead before the break when a Hockey free-kick from the right wing found Liam Jones to head home.

Danny Moon's side turned on the pressure in the second half and Hockey's corner was dropped by the goalkeeper for Jamie Cuthbertson to net.

Hockey was also instrumental in the third goal squaring for Brad Williams to tap home.

"They (Black Country Rangers) are a team with a big budget who are going to win the league," said Lads Club manager Danny Moon.

"We had to hold our own for the opening 30 minutes when they had two good chances to take the lead and we cleared one off the line. We managed to nick a goal and never looked back in the second half.

"We took the match on a level and in the first 20 minutes of the second half we were unbelievably good."

Elsewhere in the West Midlands Premier basement side Pegasus Juniors continue to struggle after being thrashed 7-0 by Shifnal Town.

This weekend Pegasus travel to second from bottom Pershore Town 88 with the Hereford side looking for their first league win since August.
