A LATE winner from young substitute Ollie Price clinched a valuable three points for Westfields as they came from behind to clinch a 4-3 victory over Wolverhampton Sporting Community.

Andy Bevan's side made the long 180-mile round trip worthwhile to leave them just three points behind leaders Ilkeston Town at the turn of the New Year.

Fields got off to a great start in the Boxing Day fixture when Aidan Thomas put them ahead with a strike 25 yards from goal after just six minutes.

However, the home side equalised from the penalty spot when Kieron Clark fired home an equaliser after Kane Kahaki had committed a foul inside the penalty area.

In a frantic opening 18 minutes Bevan's side regained the lead when Ben Hayes fired home from close range.

Hayes then had a golden opportunity to increase his side's lead when the Wolves goalkeeper misplaced a pass outside of the penalty area straight to the striker, but with a gaping goal Hayes put his shot wide. This signalled a confidence boost to the home side who came back to put the sides level at the break through Taylor Allen.

After the break Wolves Sporting Community took the lead when Kyle Burke headed home a free-kick.

Bevan's side came back in an end-to-end exciting game when Keanu Cooper headed home a corner to put the sides level on 60 minutes.

Both sides then went flat out for a winner and it came in the dying minutes when Price came on and scored the winner with a clinical finish.
