HEREFORD Couriers recently headed to Telford in a bid to improve their personal best 10-kilometre running times.

The race is billed as one of the regions quickest and flattest courses attracting some of the quickest runners in the country.

The event lived up to its reputation with 17 runners finishing the two-lap race along the flat course in under 30 minutes.

The Couriers finished the year in style with some superb times to note, Matt James was first of the club home in 35.05 while Ryan Knight clinched a new best time down to 38.07.

Ryan Lawrence had a super run to pick up a well deserved new lifetime best in 40.52.

Sheryl Evans was the first Courier lady home in a fantastic time of 43.21, closely followed over the finishing line by Clare Mallender in a time of 43.54.

Becky Eversham and Kerry Wathen finished the year maintaining their great form to pick up personal bests in 44.54 and 45.36.

Kev Barnes had a good run out finishing in 50.21.
