LEDBURY returned to winning ways to make it eight wins from 11 in Midlands 3 West (South) following a 19-13 victory at Old Yardleians.

The Herefordshire visitors found themselves behind early on following an opening try and then a penalty.

Ledbury soon replied with Chris Stokes racing clear down the wing before crossing the whitewash.

The laboured pace of the game prevented Ledbury from imposing their open style of rugby against the heavier Old Yards side until a well-placed kick took Ledbury to within five metres of the oppositions goal line. A lineout followed with driving maul saw Cam Hunter diving across the whitewash to give his side a 14-8 half-time lead.

Old Yards did manage to get a try, after a bit of play from the scrum-half, drawing the score to 14-13.

After a long period of pressure from the Ledbury team Stokes slid the over the line, after slipping through a narrow gap.
