A FORMER Hereford distance runner who competed at the Commonwealth Games returned to her home club and presented their annual awards.

Welsh international runner Clara Evans, attended the Hereford & County Athletics Club annual awards night recently to present the accolades and she also gave a review of her career which began at the club, aged eight.

The main prize of the evening was the Young Athlete of the Year for male and female runners aged under-17.

The female winner was discuss thrower Charlotte Colbert, while the male award went to 300-metre specialist Will Lovejoy.
