HEREFORD Head Coach Marc Richards said that his side ‘self-imploded’ during a 10 minutes spell which saw bottom-half rivals FC United of Manchester score three goals.

Richards’ side fell into the bottom three as defensive mistakes allowed the visitors to go above them in the league with a 3-1 win.

“We hit the self-destruct button from the 24th to the 29th minutes and conceded three goals,” Richards said.

“We kind of self-imploded as the first 10 or 15 minutes we were doing well and executing our game-plan okay and then we hit the self-destruct button.

“That first one went in and then we looked all over the shop and didn’t get ourselves back on track and nobody grabbed hold or took charge of it and our organisation and a lack of confidence.

“We were nowhere near it today. All three goals were really sloppy and I didn’t see that performance coming.”

In his post-match interview Richards revealed that Derby County loanees Matt Yates and Ethan Wassall had their loan agreements extended until January but he emphasised that Martin Horsell would be returning to the club.
