ILL-DISCIPLINE cost Luctonians as they fell to a fourth league defeat and 10 points behind the league leaders.

The travelling Lucs saw Aiden Cheshire and Henry Monkley sent to the sin-bin as they fell 15-0 behind by half-time at Bridgnorth.

Josh Watkins also saw yellow in the second half before Charlie Meredith pulled a try back.

Despite the hosts also having two players sin-binned they held on for a 15-7 victory.

"It was disappointing but they were the better side," said Luctonians head coach Ryan Watkins.

"Ill-discipline cost us in and around the breakdown. We had three yellow cards so were left defending huge parts so to only concede 15 points is not that bad.

"We can smarten up and take that decision away from the referee.

"When we had the ball we didn't look after it very long which cost us.

"We only had one or two chances but nothing clear and the try we scored was right in the corner and they defended well.

"All teams in this league have some trouble with their away form, it's not just us.

"However, the team that gets that right will be pushing for promotion."

Luctonians have a free weekend after being knocked out of the North Midlands Cup.

Watkins hopes that his side can go on a run of wins starting with their home game against Broadstreet on November 17.

"The other sides above us have to play each other," added Watkins.

"We have got Broadstreet next week and if we beat them we have got a really good run so it's not as grim as it looks.

"We have just got to make sure the teams we are meant to beat we beat."
