RISIING golf star James Herdman was crowned Herefordshire County Junior Champion after winning by one shot at Burghill Valley Golf Club.
The Kington GC player clinched victory with a 70 gross playing off a five handicap.
Just a single shot behind with a 71 gross was Herefordshire GC player Morgan Radziejowski.
While Tom Mansell (Herefordshire GC) was third with 78 gross.
In the handicap division Georgie Sockett playing on the back nine of her home Burghill Valley course clinched victory with a 66nett score.
Finishing a close second also on 66nett was Matt Dobbs, from Ross-on-Wye.
In third place was Sydney Green (Burghill Valley GC) with a 70 nett.
The team of Radziejowski, Mansell & Sam Bennett from the Herefordshire GC won
the team prize with the three best gross scores totalling 233.
