A ROSS-ON-WYE teenager continues to make his mark in football after netting for the Independent Schools Football Association’s (ISFA) South Under-16s team.

Seb Lawson, from St Owen’s Cross, helped the team to a crushing 6-1 win against Essex Schools.

The 15-year-old netted in the second half of the match as the ISFA team put together a strong performance in their first outing, at Chigwell School.

Lawson, a pupil at Monmouth School for Boys, will be hoping to retain his place for the team’s next fixture against Kent Schools at the City of London School on Sunday (11am kick off).

The Monmouth student was selected for Newport County Under-15s Academy last season and enjoyed a tour in the Czech Republic.

The attacker was also part of Monmouth School for Boys’ Under-15s who were unbeaten during the last campaign and finished third in the National Schools Football Performance League for independent schools
