HOLME Lacy made it four home wins on the bounce as they moved up the Herefordshire Premier with a 4-1 victory over Tenbury United.
However, it was the lowly visitors who raced into a fifth minute lead through Aaron Morris’ header.
The hosts were soon level when Matthew Wargen headed in from a Stuart Mills corner.
With half an hour played Mills turned from provider into scorer slotting home following a goal-mouth scramble to put his side ahead.
After seeing a goal disallowed Holme Lacy eventually sealed the victory on the 75th minute when Joe Griffiths’ cross was met by Ryan Rowlett and Mills netted a fourth five minutes later.
Wellington Reserves top the Premier after recording their sixth win from eight games with a 7-2 victory at Ewyas Harold.
Matthew Williams led the way for the reigning champions by netting four goals while Ivan Ivanov scored a brace and Chris Bush the other.
The Harold goals came from a Luke Price brace.
Last season’s runners-up Westfields Reserves remain just a point behind the leaders following a 3-0 victory over Kington Town with Taylor Barnfield, Louie Simon and Ieuan Woodcock all netting.
Previous leaders Clee Hill were knocked off the top after being held to a 1-1 draw at Malvern Town Reserves while Hinton and Ledbury Town also drew by the same scoreline.
Last season’s Division One winners Kingstone Town remained in fine form with a 7-1 victory over Tenbury Town with Matt Maturi netting a brace.
