LEDBURY Town's New Street ground was the place to be for entertainment on Saturday as their reserves' HFA Junior Cup second round tie with Dore Valley ended with 14 goals scored.

Despite the score being 7-7 after extra-time only Luke Cox could find the net from the penalty spot to earn Ledbury a place in the next round.

However, it was Kingstone-based Dore Valley who raced into a resounding lead scoring three goals during the first seven minutes with a fourth going in half an hour later.

Ledbury were given a glimmer of hope before the break with young forward Josh Burns netting a brace.

The game was then turned on its head in the space of ten second half minutes as Burns completed his hat-trick and two own goals from the visitors to make it 5-5.

Ledbury thought they had sealed the victory when substitute Ian Bennett scored the sixth in the 84th minute only for the visitors to net a 90th minute penalty.

Dore Valley found their seventh barely two minutes into injury time to put Ledbury on a back-footing.

However, the match took another twist as Gavin Walton netted a penalty at the opposite end following a handball.

The extra-time period failed to yield any further goals as the seemingly inevitable penalty shootout took place, with Cox the only player netting.

Bromyard Town had an easier passage into the next round with a 4-1 victory over Orleton.

Meanwhile, Belmont Wanderers will have to put their Junior Cup ambitions on hold for another season after losing out 4-1 at home against Ludlow Town Colts.

Shobdon were handed a passage into the next round as Kington Reserves conceded the tie.

Finally St Johns Howle Hill First also progressed following a 6-1 victory over Civil Service.
