CRICKETERS at Bartestree and Lugwardine Cricket Club were rewarded for their efforts during the previous season.

The club's first team finished 10th in the Worcestershire County League Division Two.

Batsman of the Year went to Andy Jones who hit 461 runs during the campaign scoring an average of 28.81.

Bowler of the Year was won by Marcus Ashcroft who took 41 wickets at an average of 18.37. His best figures were six for 43.

The club’s second team had a less successful campaign finished bottom of the 2nds Division Two.

In the Marches League Division Three the side’s third team finished seventh and their prize for Batsman of the Year went to Phil Anderson who contributed 599 runs at an average of 49.92 and a best innings of 210.

The third’s Bowler of the Year was Sid Hughes who took eight wickets at an average of 22.75 and a best of 3-36.

The fourth team finished 10th in the Marches League Division Four and the prize for Player of the Year went to Stan Lunt.

Ian Strangward was named the fourth’s Bowler of the Year taking 14 wickets at an average of 18.21.

The club’s Fielder of the Year prize went to Dan Harris who took 15 catches during the season.

The President's Shield for Clubman of the Year went to Tom Strangward and Ryan Trattell.
