HEREFORD’S Head Coach Marc Richards said that there will 'definitely' be more arrivals by the time his team travel to Stockport County next weekend.

He watched as Hereford suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Welling United in the FA Cup third qualifying round.

Academy goalkeeper Brandon Powell came on for Martin Horsell after the Hereford stopper was injured following a head clash with Mike McGrath.

Richards said that he is prepared to bring a goalkeeper straight in.

Jennison Myrie-Williams left Edgar Street last week and when asked if there will be more changes Richards said: “Yes 100 per cent.

“We need to make sure we get the right mix and blend of players and do more on the training ground to make sure performance levels are vastly improved.

“We definitely will be bringing some players in for next Saturday.”

Richards said he has got lots of work to do with the current squad to get them back to winning ways.

He added: “We have got a lot of work to do that’s what I have taken from that and we have been brought in to do a job and to take this club to where it wants to be.

“We know that’s going to take a little bit of time but we know we need to sort things out pretty quickly. There were glimpses there which were pleasing but overall we weren’t good enough.

“In terms of the game plan it’s not nice to make three substitutions in the first 25 minutes in your first game in charge and I suppose the most important thing is finding out how Mike McGrath and Martin Horsell are.

“That scuppered the game plan but we didn’t show enough heart or energy especially in the last 25 minutes and we will be doing something about that.

“They have got to be brave, courageous and get on the ball but I didn’t see that so we need to make sure we have the right characters and players in the team.
