  • ROLLING REPORT
  • After a goalless 90 minutes at Edgar Street on Saturday it took Truro just 40 seconds to take the lead when Jared Lewington sliced his shot at the first attempt but seconds later fired home unmarked inside the box.
  • Hereford had a golden chance to equalise after six minutes when Harry White headed down to Jamie Bird who looked to be tripped inside the box.
  • White stepped up but sent his effort wide and Jo Jo Wollacott guessed the right way.
  • The usual sturdy Hereford defence were caught out with a route one ball over the top after 13 minutes with Jon-Paul Pitman unmarked and able to pick his spot past Martin Horsell.
  • Truro could have put the game out of reach three minutes later firstly with Ed Palmer seeing his deflected free-kick fly just over.
  • And then Jared Lewington found Noah Keates with a searching ball over the top with the latter shooting just wide.
  • Despite being on the back foot Hereford should have pulled a goal back as Danny Greenslade overlapped and found Harry White a yard out from goal.
  • White fluffed his shot but it came out nicely for Jamie Bird who blazed over.
  • Playing a new three at the back system the Hereford defence was again breached after half-an-hour as Jon-Paul Pitman headed home from close range after being unmarked inside the box.
  • Three minutes before the break Hereford gave themselves a way back into the tie when Jamie Bird found Mike McGrath with a searching through ball with the midfielder netting.
  • Hereford changed to four at the back after the break and controlled possession.
  • Ryan Green's side were rewarded with a second goal on the hour after Kieran Thomas was brought down for a free-kick on the edge of the box.
  • Lewis Hall's cross found defender Callum Sainty to head home to make it 3-2.
  • Despite finding a way back into the tie Hereford were almost the makers of their own downfall.
  • Firstly a cross wasn't dealt with but fell nicely to goalkeeper Martin Horsell to gather.
  • And then moments later Horsell slipped on the byline while dealing with a pass-back.
  • Jared Lewington took advantage but the Bulls goalkeeper did well to pressurize the striker before Danny Greenslade cleared the danger.
  • Hereford piled everything forwards and deservedly got their leveler when Marlon Jackson rose to meet a cross to draw level as the tie went into extra-time.
  • With just minutes left of extra-time remaining Kieran Thomas netted the winner with a looping header into the net.
