TUPSLEY Civil Service has once again won the Herefordshire Veterans League.

The team beat fellow Hereford side Rapid Moorfields 2-1 in Sunday's clash at Belmont Abbey to retain the title they won last season.

The result meant that Moorfields finished in second, 11 points clear of Belmont Wanderers in third.

Plans are now in place for Tupsley to play the Worcestershire Vets League winners in a one off match.

Herefordshire Football Association says the veterans league has gone from strength to strength in recent years with the 2018 season one of the most competitive yet.

Players must be aged 35 and above to compete in the 80 minute fixtures at a central venue and fixtures are scheduled around teams' availability.
