WELLINGTON clinched their first league victory of the season as the beat border rivals Malvern Town.

Following two West Midlands Premier Division heavy defeats manager Gary Stevens was delighted to see his side take a 27th minute lead through Neil Walmsley.

Midfielder Adam Newbury secured the win from the penalty spot in the 65th minute.

Malvern's day went from bad to worse as they were reduced to 10-men late in the game.

Lads Club saw their perfect start to the season ended as AFC Bridgnorth took a 2-1 victory at the County Ground.

The afternoon had looked promising for Danny Moon's side when Kiea Cowley was clipped inside the box allowing Rory Worthing to put his side ahead from the penalty spot.

However, the visitors netted either side of half-time to run out 2-1 victors.

Pegasus Juniors suffered a similar home fate as Pershore Town ran out winners at Old School Lane.

Jordan Hayward pounced on a loose ball to put the visitors ahead on 36 minutes.

However, Pegasus, who had won two of their opening three matches, responded after the break through a powerful Kyle Panniers header.

The Worcestershire visitors would have the last say with James Taylor netting a 66th minute winner.

In Division One, Bromyard Town picked up their first victory of the season 2-1 against Newport Town.
