LEDBURY Rugby Club have received national recognition after their junior and mini section has been announced as a finalist in the prestigious Crabbie’s National Rugby Awards.

The awards give the opportunity for clubs at all levels to enter and gain recognition for their contribution to the game.

Ledbury has been named in the final group of six clubs in this category from across the whole country and the winner will be announced at an awards ceremony held at the home of English rugby, Twickenham, on August 29.

The club were surprised to reach the final after being nominated by one of the club’s junior section coaches.

Ledbury Rugby Club has recently launched their 'One Club' ethos cementing the junior and senior sections of the club more closely in relation to training, coaching and social events.

The club has been recognised for promoting the core values of the RFU namely teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The recognition is an endorsement to the invaluable work over 130 volunteers put in who give up their time and effort to foster such a vibrant club, helping in coaching, managing, safeguarding and inspiring a membership of around 300 junior players.
