TWO Hereford fans have raised over £600 by jumping out of a plane as part of a sponsored skydive.

Bulls supporters Laura Davies and Joanie Roberts took part in the skydive as part of Hereford United Supporters Trust (HUST) Family Fun Day at Shobdon Aerodrome on Sunday where the Keep The Bulls Flying initiative was launched, writes James Thomas.

The initiative is urging fans to take on their own personal challenges over the next 12 months to raise money for the football club to spend.

HUST aim to purchase a 50 percent shareholding (289,000 shares) in Hereford FC by March 2020.

"It's got to be up there with one of the best things that I've ever done," said HUST Director Roberts following the skydive.

"The fear when that plane door opened and you've got wall-to-wall cloud, I thought I'm either going to cry, going to scream or I'm going to say I can't do this. But before you even have chance to do that the guy behind you has pushed you out and you've gone anyway.

“The sheer noise as you go out is huge. Until you come out of the cloud, the minute we could see ground below us it was just silence and you were just floating. You had no sense of speed, it was just awesome.

"A huge thank you to our event Family Fun Day sponsors Shobdon Aerodrome, The Hereford Music Shop, Corbett Creative, Rodeo Wrecks, Swan Brewery and TDJ Williams Waste Ltd."

The amount raised from the HUST Family Fun Day is yet to be confirmed although £620 has been donated on the Keep the Bulls Flying page from the challenge at: www.gofundme.com/keep-the-bulls-flying.
