RUNNERS will be competing around the bridleways and woods of Credenhill next month while raising money for charity.

The Credenhill Canter takes place on August 26 and will see competitors race for 10 kilometres while raising funds for Hereford Special Care Baby Unit.

The run starts at the Credenhill Sports and Social Club before taking in the bridleway to Barnsfield leading to Stretton Sugwas.

Once over the main road and down Priory Lane the footpath takes competitors back to the main road and up to Credenhill woods.

The race includes one lap around the woods and out down to Credenhill Church. The finish is in the field adjacent to the church.

The main race takes place at 3pm with a fun run at 2pm and walkers event at 1pm.

There will be a family barbecue and live music at the social club after the race.

Trophies will be awarded on the day to the top finishing male and female runners of various age groups.

The entry fee is £12 for affiliated runners, un-affiliated runners £14 and children’s fun run £1.

Entries welcome on the day with a £2 surcharge.
