WILL Maund and Michael Green hit a century each as the title chasers went head-to-head at the top of the GB Lines Marches Division One.
Kington landed Luctonians title hopes a blow by taking a two-wicket victory largely down to the batting of captain Green- hitting 132 of his sides 234-8.
A century for Maund helped Luctonians to a commanding total of 230-7 off their 45 overs, but they had no answer to Green’s response.
Following their defeat on Saturday Luctonians picked themselves up and took a five-wicket victory over Builth Wells on Sunday.
Mark Bradford and Sam Griffiths took three wickets each as Goodrich increased their league lead following a 82-run victory over basement side Brockhampton 3rds.
After electing to bat the league leaders struggled to put together a substantial innings with Andrew Brown top scoring on 36 thanks to Tom Skerrett leading the bowling attack on 3-42.
Chasing a total of 193 for a shock victory Brockhampton were hit by Bradford 3-14 and Griffiths 3-16 as they were skittled out for 111.
Colwall 3rds pulled away from the bottom two in Division Two following a 13-run victory over Woolhope in a high scoring encounter.
After being put into bat opener Steve Wright hit 43 before Jack Hughes top scored on 61 for Colwall as they set a target of 222-9. In response Will Tanner (40) top scored for Woolhope as they fell just short of their target.
