PUPILS from schools across the county battled it out during the HSFA Schools Cup Finals which took place over three nights in May.

Both primary and secondary teams qualified for the finals at Pegasus Junior's Old School Lane based on performances throughout the school year.

In the year six competition Lord Scudamore beat Leominster in the final. Earl Mortimer clinched the year sevens final beating St Mary's.

However, St Mary's did clinch silverware in the year eights final beating John Masefield. In similar fashion John Masefield returned to win the year nine final seeing off Wigmore. The year nine competition saw finals with Fairfield winning the rural final beating Wigmore in the process.

Whitecross took the year 10 trophy beat St Mary's in the final while John Kyrle won the year 11 trophy from John Masefield in the final.

The HSFA would like to thank everyone who helped make their cup finals week such a success, particularly the teachers, players, volunteers and spectators. Also to Pegasus Juniors for being such excellent hosts.
