LEDBURY Rugby Club hosted their annual Seabass 7s Charity Sevens Tournament recently in memory sadly missed player James Segust.
The tournament is a firm fixture in the RFU 24/7 Series calendar, attracting a host of high quality teams including National Champions the Honey Badgers.
The day started with Ledbury hosting a strong All Stars team, and it was clear from the offset that the All Stars were the favourites with first of many comfortable victories.
Ledbury struggled for their first couple of games, but once they got into the flow of 7s, as opposed to 15s, they played some good rugby and towards the end of the day were pushing teams closer.
Mud Dogs, in conjunction with Hereford RFC, started off strongly against many of their team-mates from Red Roosters, emerging comfortable victors.
The Mud Dogs would qualify for the knockouts but Red Roosters fell at the group stage.
The knockout stage saw a battle between PC All Stars and Mud Dogs with the All Stars running out 54-19 winners. The other semi-final was between Honey Badgers and the Patriots, with the Badgers winning 45-7.
In a repeat of last year's final it was the PC All Stars who took a 32-16 victory.
