EASTNOR all-rounder Josh Emery looked back at possible his best batting performance after hitting 130 runs and taking two catches as his side took their third victory in the Worcestershire Division Three.

The 27-year-old from Ledbury hit 15 fours and two sixes as his side chased down a Bromsgrove target of 242- eventually winning with two wickets in hand.

“It was up there with one of the best I've had maybe even the best,” said Emery.

“After my first cover drive I had a feeling I was going to be in the runs.

“It was a great batting wicket and I give a lot of credit to the ground staff at Eastnor, there were wickets falling around me and I just kept my game positive still playing my shots.

“I had a good partnership with Martin Loverage (30), who just stayed there with me, it was also the same with Scott Roberts (36) too.

“There was a little stage in the game where I had to knuckle down and not lose my wicket, but apart from about five or six overs everything was flying over the boundary.”

Bromsgrove had looked in a commanding position with opener Mark Bilbrough hitting 96 before 5-36 for Ian Milton helped whittle through the tail.

Colwall missed a chance to move up the Division One table as they slipped to a 33-run home defeat by Chaddesley Corbett.

Mike Gooch snapped up three wickets in his first two overs to leave the visitors floundering on 4-3.

However, a century for Bilal Hassan saw the visitors 182-9 off 48 overs.

In response Colwall struggled with the bat with Fergus Cameron top scoring on 34 before he was bowled out by Hassan in attack eventually finishing all out for 149, 33 runs short of the target.

Burghill, Tillington and Weobley remain at the basement of Division One following a 259 runs defeat to Evesham.

Bromyard remain top of Division Two following a 117 run victory over Enville after setting a target of 246-7 which included half-centuries for Edd Oliver and Nick Leighton.
