HEREFORD Couriers took a host of podium placings as the athletics season continued with two local events.

A team of 27 Couriers took part in the Crocodile 8 starting from Burghill School, which included an 8.8 miles route across a hilly and challenging multi-terrain course of road, grass and plenty of mud.

Barry Reynolds was the first Courier past the line finishing in second place in 57 minutes and 35 seconds, and first male over-45, finishing behind winner and former Courier Eliot Taylor.

Matt James got himself onto the podium finishing in third place in a great time 58:07, Ross Cameron continued to impress and was the club's third team member home in 1:02:44 to pick up the team prize.

Couriers Tim Taylor & Nikki Tyler had fine runs picked up awards in V55 Men & V45 Female categories.

James was on the podium again for Hereford Couriers when members took took on the Magic Roundabout, a hilly scenic 10-kilometre run hosted by Hay Hotfooters.

James came runner-up in the race in a superb time of 38:45.

Kelly Murray was the first lady home in 53:00 with Lisa Ruck close behind in 53:33 (61st) also picking up the first V40 prize.
