HEREFORD based BlendLine Rally Team continued their fine form last weekend with a strong performance in the Plains Rally, Mid Wales.
Based in Welshpool the 180 miles long event went to Dolgellau via stages in Dyfnant and Gartheiniog Forests.
The Hereford based rally squad headed into the event with a small lead in their production class, in the Welsh Mixed Surface Championship.
Tom Magnay with new co-driver Samantha Colman started the day with an incorrect tyre choice for the morning loop of stages, which comprised of wet gravel and mud.
"The afternoon stages were far drier and from then on, the choice of medium compound tyres worked well for us," said driver Magnay.
The John Wood Tyres backed Citroen Saxo finished the rally third in their class, taking a second place in Class 2 in the Pirelli Welsh Rally Championship, and Magnay broadened his lead in the Welsh Mixed Surface Production Car Class.
"Our result on the Plains Rally has boosted our standings in the two different championships we run in - the Morris Lubricants sponsored car didn't miss a beat all day," added Magnay.
"Next up, the Red Kite Stages in June!"
