PRESTEIGNE Hockey club have won the accolade of Senior Sports Team of the year at the Brecknock and Radnor Sports Awards.

Though Presteigne will be going back into Premier Division Two next season it has still been a good season with there youngsters coming through and playing in the senior side.

Presteigne came runners up in the Leominster Summer League and won the Kington tournament at the beginning of September. ]

The club's annual dinner also saw the clubs trophies awarded, winners were: Players Player of the Season and the Joan Davies Cup- Beth Watson; Team Member of the Season- Tina Sparey; Veteran Player of the Season- Donna Jones; Most Improved Player- Caitlin Evans; Junior Player of the Season-Meg Cosgrove; Most Improved Junior Player- Gemma Morris.

Presteigne’s junior side and the future of Presteigne hockey have done well this year winning there local Badger League against Brecon, Kington, Knighton, Radnor and Gwernyfed.

The club's chairman went on to thank the players for there commitment through out the season, also Percy for umpiring and keeping all the players in line. Thanks were also made to everyone for there support throughout the season.
