LUCTONIANS under-12 boys showed their worth and won a string of matches when they travelled to Woolacombe Bay for the West Coast Rugby Rocks Festival last weekend.
The youngsters got their tournament off to a perfect start by beating Kenilworth 2-1 in the opening match before recording a 2-0 victory against Buckingham.
They finished the opening day with a 4-3 victory over Upton on Seven following a hard fought game.
The following day the young Luctonians side suffered a 6-2 defeat at the hands of home side Bideford. The tough run of games took their toll on the youngsters and will tired bodies and several injuries they suffered a 4-1 defeat to Upton in their final game.
The team consisted of: Bailey Bache, Noah Smith, Lewis Perkins, Teddy Mee, Matthew Mee, Noah Davis, Oscar Chandler, Max George, Ben Collings, Harry Collings, Mac Green-Price, Hal Hatton, Eddie Exell-Davies, Alfie Morris, Sam Thomas, Freddie Norman, Archie Pilliner.
The boys were congratulated by their coaches for all digging deep and fighting hard to the end while showing a great deal of grit and determination.
