HINTON Football Club have been granted planning permission to install new changing rooms and a clubhouse.

For the past two years, the Broomy Hill club have been working with Jim Hicks at Owen Hicks Architecture, Dan Chance from the Herefordshire FA and Herefordshire Council's planning department to design and plan a new facility which will allow the club grow and offer a quality experience for all of its players, coaches, supporters and visitors.

And with help and assistance from the Hereford Waterworks museum, Hereford Cathedral School, Hereford Society of Model Engineers, plus support from the Broomy Hill Residents Committee, they have been able design a new clubhouse, which will replace the existing structure in such a way so it lessens any environmental impact.

On top of that, the club will be provided with four changing rooms, a kitchen and a match day clubroom.

“With the success of both our senior and junior sections, we are seeing a greater demand at Hinton FC to provide better facilities and accommodate more teams," said Hinton chairman Graham Andrews.

"We have spent many thousands of pounds on our playing surface over the last few years, and future improvement can now only be achieved by improving and modernising our clubhouse.

"The committee at Hinton have worked tirelessly over the past two years to get us to this position, where we can finally start pushing for funding and grants to get this exciting project realised.

"We are all very pleased to have reached this point, as now we have planning permission we can begin the hard work of securing the funding required from the FA, sports organisations and local businesses.“
