LEOMINSTER'S James Dunn says they go into this weekend's derby against Hereford in confident mood after beating Whitchurch A 5-2 in De Cymru & The Marches 1 of the GoCrea8 Hockey League.
Nicko Evans opened the scoring for Leominster before Whitchurch equalised.
Evans scored again before Leominster added further goals through Jonty Goode and Josh Watkins.
Whitchurch scored again before Watkins scored a cracking goal after being set up by Evans.
"We go into the Hereford game with good confidence on the back of some strong performances so far this season," said Dunn.
"Hereford have a number of good players and its always a competitive match between the two teams."
Hereford go into the game on the back of a 7-1 loss at Cheltenham 3rds, while Ross-on-Wye beat Stroud 3-0.
Leominster 2nds also beat Lansdown 4ths 7-2 thanks to braces from Charles Mitchel, Lewis Levinia and Steve Dobson, while Ross saw off Gloucester City 4ths 2-1.
Hereford 2nds hammered Cirencester 3rds 5-1.
In West Club's Women's League, Hereford beat Newent 2-0, but Leominster were hammered 9-0 at home to Bristol University 2nds.
Elsewhere, there were wins for Colwall & Malvern's first and second teams, while Ross also victorious.
However, Hereford 2nds lost to Lansdown 2nds.
While in South Wales League Division One, Kington were beaten 2-0 by Dinefwr A'r Fro.
