A COUNTY rower will be going for a gold medal at the World Rowing Championships this Saturday.
Mathilda Hodgkins-Byrne, from St Weonards, is part of a four-prong attack representing Great Britain in the women's quadruple sculls at Sarasota-Bradenton in the USA.
The team – also consisting of Jess Leyden, Holly Nixon and Bethany Bryan – secured their place after a dramatic heat.
Great Britain finished just ahead of the USA to finish second.
