A COUNTY hockey player has added another medal to his collection after being part of the successful England team hat won the European Masters Cup.
Percy Steele, 76, helped his country beat Germany 1-0 and the Netherlands 3-0 at the tournament that was held in Glasgow.
He also took part in a friendly against a touring Australia team, as well as Southern Cross and Alliance.
Steele, who was playing for the Over-75s, has been a long established player and umpire.
He also took home a gold medal at the European Masters Championships in Watford two years ago and scored a goal at the South Africa tournament in 2010.two years ago.
Steele, who now plays on the right-wing for England after previously starring as a sweeper, now umpires in the South Wales Hockey League.
