HEREFORDSHIRE are still facing defeat in their latest Minor Counties Championship match against Devon at Colwall despite heroics from veteran debutant Tim Riley.
The 47-year-old, batting at number nine, struck 120 after entering the fray at 90-7, to take the home side's first innings to 263.
In their second knock, they had reached 154-4 by the close of the second day, still short of Devon's 471-6.
