HEREFORD'S junior roller derby team are to play in an invitational event in London this Sunday.

The Hereford Poison Berries will face the London Brawling Allstars as part of 'Anarchy in the UK 2017'.

The showpiece is a Division One European tournament in which some of the best teams from the UK, Sweden and Finland will compete.

This will be the first time a junior game will have taken place at Anarchy and IS set to pave the way for London Roller Girls to launch their very own junior team later this year.

"To be invited to play at such a prestigious event is a huge honour," said Hereford Poison Berries head coach Barb Corrick.

"To be asked to follow the London Brawling Allstars team on track is something that we could never have imagined.

"The London Roller Girls are international players and they make up a large number of Team England.

"These are the sporting heroes of our juniors – the role models that are inspiring the next generation of Roller Derby stars."
