POTTING Shed Z went seven points clear at the top of Hereford Snooker League with three games remaining in their quest to regain the title.

They beat clubmates and title rivals Potting Shed M 3-2 Tom Cousins beating Ross Hood in the decider.

Miller Boys pulled three points clear of third-placed Potting Shed M in beating Way off Cue 4-1, Tom Greenow being the only winner for the home side.

Potting Shed A surprisingly lost to an improving Railway, for whom Paul Jones, Pat Tulk and Bill Waygood were the winners.

Farmers A defeated Conmen with good wins for George Evans and Lee Cartwright. Norman Bain was the only winner for the losers.

Farmers B edged out Military B by winning the first three frames after Bruce Wilson and Percy Fitzgerald got them off to a flying start.

Herodians came from 2-1 down to beat Police A, Richard Greenow and Norman Pfuell winning the last two frames to secure the win.

Flukey Few lost at home to Legionnaires.

In the local derby at the Snooker Centre, WTC came out on top with a narrow win.

D Trickett was the winner for Farmers A the previous week.
