HEREFORD Schools Under-15 and Under-14 teams completed their league fixtures with narrow defeats against Solihull.

The Under-15s, needing to win by three goals to pip Coventry and finish in the top two, piled on the pressure against league winners Solihull who were made to defend for long periods before breaking away to score the decisive goal with 10 minutes remaining.

The Under-14s produced one of their best displays of the season. Despite trailing 3-0 at the break, Hereford fought back and were unlucky to lose 4-3.

Hereford Under 12s reached the Inter Association Final with a 3-1 victory against Redditch. Hereford had a goal disallowed and missed a penalty as Redditch led 1-0 at half-time, although Shane Dyer had made a number of good saves to keep Hereford in the game.

In the second half Hereford poured forward and Tom Parry equalised with a strong left-foot volley from 10 yards.

Hereford kept up the pressure and Parry neatly slipped his marker to fire in a shot which, despite being blocked, rolled towards the goal. Tom Murphy was following up and scored from two yards. Parry did score the third with another volley from 25 yards after a poor clearance by the Redditch goalkeeper.

Hereford host the final against Wolverhampton which will be played at Pegasus Juniors FC in May.
