Wyrley Rangers 1 Ledbury Town 1 PLAYING their fifth consecutive away game, Ledbury picked up an important West Midlands League Premier Division point at Wyrley Rangers, the goals being scored within a minute of one another.

Town are five points clear of the bottom two, but have played three games more than their rivals.

The stiff breeze led to a scrappy opening spell, but Ledbury were looking comfortable in defence until a mix-up after 20 minutes left Ominira Riley with the relatively simple task of beating Lewis Skyers to put the home side one up.

The visitors hit back from the restart, Lee Hooper putting them back on level terms a minute later after coolly shooting home off a post.

Substitute Mark Brookes thought he had put Ledbury in front, his close-range shot striking the underside of the bar and going in, but the linesman saw it differently.

Alex Volosanovs failed to connect with the ball in a dangerous position and then had a shot blocked on the line as Town pushed for the win.

The home side also had a good chance but, in the end, honours finished even.

l Wellington are now firmly entrenched in mid-table after going down 2-1 at Bustleholme.

After a goalless first half, the home side took the lead three minutes after the break when Neil Oakley's 25-yard shot went in off a post.

Bustleholme increased their lead 12 minutes from time when Wayne Richardson strode past two tackles to fire home.

Wellington finally reduced arrears in injury time when Keith Jones was brought down in the penalty area and got up to score himself from the spot-kick.
