JONATHAN Hunter and Wehan Joubert bagged four wickets for Colwall in their dramatic tied game against Worcester Nomads in Worcestershire County League Division One.

Hunter finished with figures of 4-31 and Joubert 4-40 to ensure that Worcester were bowled out for 198 - the same score as Colwall.

Joubert also scored 24 runs, but it was Ben Wheeler's 51 that proved crucial in Colwall's knock.

Colwall were at one stage 130-6, but Wheeler steered the side to 160, before he was eventually caught.

Other useful runs came from Dan McKay (26) and Nick Panniers (25), while Damien Berry and Tom Coleman also bagged a wicket apiece.

Pete Whittenbury's four wickets were not enough for Bromyard, who lost by two wickets against Droitwich Spa in the same league.

Whittenbury finished on 4-39, but Bromyard were always up against it after managing only 112 runs.

The majority of the runs were scored by middle-order batsmen Josh Teague (47) and Ahmed Jamal (38).

In reply, Droitwich were at one stage 88-6, but managed to sneak over the line.

Last Wednesday, Bromyard succumbed to a 32-run defeat against Redditch in the quarter-final of the Worcestershire County League Midweek Knock-Out Cup.

In Division Two, Lye beat Wormelow by three wickets, while Alex Hedge's 90 helped Burghill and Tillington beat Feckenham by six wickets.

Burghill were also indebted to Jack Stockdale, who bagged four wickets.

Sebastian Warwick's 74 was not enough for Ross-on-Wye as they went down by six wickets against Netherton in Division Three.

Warwick's knock came off just 72 balls, but apart from Jack Evans, who scored 39, Ross' other batsmen's struggled badly and were eventually skittled out for 142.

Feckenham never looked in trouble when they were put into bat and easily got to their target, with Troy Lee's unbeaten 64 being key.

Kieran Smith and Nick Frith both scored 42 runs in Bartestree and Lugwardine three-wicket win against Five Ways Old Edwardians in Division Four.

Jack Summerside (22) and Luke Sparrow (21) also posted useful runs as the villagers managed to get past their opponents' total of 192.

Summerside also grabbed two wickets, as did Andrew Jones, but it was Marcus Ashcroft's 3-25 that proved key to Bartestree bowling Five Ways out.
