IT'S not often that you take a hat-trick and still end up on the losing side.

But, that is what happened to Bartestree and Lugwardine's Matt Ashcroft on Saturday.

Ashcroft finished with figures of 5-34 from his 10 overs, but it was not enough as visitors Himbleton ended up winning by five wickets in the Worcestershire County League Division Four game.

Himbleton never looked in trouble in chasing down the total and comfortably won the match with 14 overs to spare.

It was a day to remember for Wormelow, who thrashed Feckenham by 10 wickets in Division Two.

The villagers had their visitors 36-5 and 63-8 before Tom Coulson (31) gave their final score of 108 all out some respectability.

However, it did not take long for Wormelow's opening pair of Jamie Banfield and Ben Owens to get to their target, with Banfield smashing 69 runs off just 60 balls and Owens 39 off 46.

In the same division, Burghill and Tillington lost by five wickets against Enville.
