EACH week a figure connected with Hereford United will give his or her view on the situation at Edgar Street.

This week, long-standing Hereford United Independent Supporters Association chairman Keith Dodd has his say.

LIKE most Bulls fans, I went away from Edgar Street last Saturday with a smile on my face after a very difficult week around the club.

It was fantastic to hear the Meadow End back to their best when there was a great turn-out on a horrible day, weather-wise.

To get 2,016 through the turnstiles is exactly what we need every week if the club is going to get through these difficult financial times.

The players have been incredible, too, with their work-rate and performances when they know all about the problems surrounding the club.

It has been a good couple of weeks for HUISA with the board of directors offering us a seat at the boardroom table.

So if any supporters would like any constructive questions asked at boardroom level, please send us an email or contact one of the HUISA committee.

We have already received a good response on Saturday and there have been a number of good ideas for future fundraising projects.

Fundraising is one of the areas we have been asked to front by the board of directors.

For many years, we have been selling the 50/50 tickets on matchdays and there was a fantastic response on Saturday when more than £1,000 was raised.

Please also support the Bulls Lottery and the many functions available at the Starlite Rooms - it all helps to bring much-needed revenue into the football club.

If 1,000 people completed a direct debit for £10 per month for the Back the Bulls Lottery then that alone would raise £10,000 for the club.

I'm writing these notes after the win over Salisbury City so I hope that by the time you read this we will have had another good result against Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday night in front of another good turn-out of fans.

That's crucial as we have just one home game in February.

But please remember that the fundraising continues every week so do what you can to help.

We all have one common aim - we want this great football club to survive and thrive and for the name of Hereford United to go on long into the future.

Fans can sign up for the Back the Bulls Lottery by filling in a standing order form and submitting it to the Hereford United club office.

One entry costs £1 (multiples of five entries are encouraged).

For every £1 a supporter pays into the Lottery fund, one entry is entered into the Lottery draw. £5 gets five entries, £200 gets 20 entries etc.

The Back The Bulls Lottery is drawn in the first week of the month, this draw is made to decide the winner of the previous month's entries. The top proze is currently £200 per month.
