A SUSPECTED arsonist set fire to a newspaper outside a house in Redditch, causing "significant damage" damage to the front door.

The incident happened at a property on Dolphin Road at around 10.30pm on Friday, May 18.

A police spokesman said: "It is believed the fire was started deliberately and the incident is being treated as arson.

"The fire caused significant damage to the front door but no one was injured.

"Officers are carrying out enquiries and are appealing for anyone who may have information to come forward."
