A KIDDERMINSTER restaurant has caught royal wedding fever and is offering namesake couples the chance to enjoy a free meal this weekend.

Bistrot Pierre will give local couples called Harry and Meghan a free two-course meal and a bottle of fizz if they book a table between Friday (May 18) and Sunday (May 20).

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will tie the knot at Windsor Castle on Saturday (May 19) and bosses at the French restaurant said they wanted to mark the occasion.

General Manager Jessica Smith said: “Wedding fever has well and truly hit the country and we’re delighted to be joining in and offering something a little different in Kidderminster.

“We will be giving couples also named Harry and Meghan the royal treatment and offering them a complimentary two course meal and bottle of fizz - enabling them to enjoy the royal wedding in style.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to try our new spring menu which includes new and classic French flavours.

“It’s also been rumoured that the canapés at the royal wedding will include ‘sausage rolls, tartlets and mini croque monsieur’. We’re delighted that a French classic has made it into the mix.

“We look forward to welcoming Harry and Meghans – as well as new and returning customers – over what I’m sure will be a fabulous weekend.”

To claim a free meal for two and a bottle of fizz, people will be required to book via: bistrotpierre.co.uk/book-a-table.

Eligible first names are Harry, Henry, Harriet, Meghan, Megan. ID will need to be shown upon arrival – either driving license or passport.
