EVESHAM churches joined forces to celebrate a day in the Christian calendar.
Last Sunday was Pentecost Sunday which is significant in the Christian calendar as it celebrates the gift of the Holy Spirit to the first disciples after the ascension of Jesus into heaven.
Churches Together in Evesham and District, which is made up of ten churches, celebrated with a party in Workman Gardens.
Over 300 people took part which included a time of united worship, a barbecue, bouncy castles, face painting and plenty of traditional games for the young and not so young.
The worship part of the day involved people from all the churches and the gospel message was given by bishop Robert Paterson who inspired everyone present, including our mayor and member of parliament who also joined in the celebration.
