PATRIOTIC residents at a Bromsgrove care home are inviting members of the public to watch the royal wedding with them.

Chandler Court will be raising a glass to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Saturday, May 19 from 11.45pm.

The Recreation Road home will be adorned with Union Jack bunting, and elderly residents will have their British flags at the ready for a live screening of the ceremony.

The 'right royal knees up' will start with refreshments, including hot drinks and homemade cakes.

Jo Gill, home manager, said: "It’s been a busy few years for the royals, with big birthdays, anniversaries and new additions to the family – conversations around the Queen and her children are never too far from our lips here at Chandler Court.  “We’re delighted to be able to bring out the bunting once again, this time to celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

"We’re looking forward to commemorating the big day with the people of Bromsgrove and raising a glass to the happy couple."
