THREE children were threatened and robbed in a pair of terrifying incidents in Bromsgrove that have led to two teenagers being arrested.
In the first incident, on Thursday, July 2, two children aged 12 and 14 were targeted in the town.
An 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy have both been charged and remanded following a police investigation.
Umair Mughal, 18, from Keresley Grove, Birmingham, and the 15-year-old - who cannot be named for legal reasons but is also from Birmingham have both been charged with attempted robbery, robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.
The 15-year-old has also been charged with a second count of robbery following an incident near to Bromsgrove Railway Station on Wednesday, July 8 when a teenage boy was the victim of a robbery and threatened with a weapon.
Both suspects were arrested on July 9 in Bromsgrove. They appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Saturday morning and were remanded by the court.
The Advertiser reported back in May that a boy had his bicycle stolen near the station and have-a-go heroes helped police catch suspected culprits.
Bromsgrove Safer Neighbourhood Team has had officers patrolling the station to reassure local residents after the latest incidents.
