Letter of the day: We need cycle path at Worcester Parkway
SIR – Can we have a cycle path from the new Worcestershire Parkway railway station?
Could it be made by an upgrade of the Public Right of Way (Footpath NJ523) off Woodbury Lane to a 3 metre wide footway with cycle access and a realigned route of the Public Right of way?
Worcester City Council declared a climate emergency in July 2019. It agreed to achieve a carbon neutral Worcester by 2030. As I understand £100,000 has been set aside for this strategy.
The strategy should include: the use of plastic, recycling, our natural environment, air quality, transport and energy.
Will it use the release from lockdown to tackle our climate emergency?
