WORCESTER Live has suspended performances at its city venues, in response to the Covid-19 outbreak.

In a statement from the Worcester Live team it said it had "regretfully" closed its doors at the Swan Theatre, Henry Sandon Hall and Huntington Hall.

The statement said: "Following the government's advice to stop all non essential contact we have suspended all activities at our venues until further notice and have regretfully closed our doors.

"The Box Office will make contact with all those who have booked tickets event by event, in due course as we work to reschedule performances.

"As we are a charity we are asking you to consider supporting our venue through what may be a financially critical time by donating your ticket money or taking a credit for the value of your ticket, rather than a refund.

"This will support the venue through this very challenging time, which will in turn enable us to open our doors once this testing time has passed.

"Thank you for your support and understanding."
