ONE of the county’s major business events has been postponed due to coronavirus fears.

In view of health concerns and the uncertainty around bringing groups of people together in the weeks ahead, the Worcestershire LEP (WLEP) has taken the decision to postpone the 2020 conference planned for March 31 until a later date in Autumn.

Despite this, the LEP is offering the full programme to delegates via audio and video on-demand.

A spokesman said: “The good news is the Worcestershire LEP still plan to deliver their planned programme content and provide it to registered delegates through video and audio content, available on-demand.

“Whilst it is with great disappointment, the WLEP have had to take this decision to postpone, the team are thrilled to be able to offer some fantastic content and key messages lined up on the WLEP vision of a connected, creative, dynamic county on a variety of platforms for consumption at a time to suit users.”

The Worcestershire LEP would like to announce plans for “Spring 2020 in Worcestershire” taking place between April 2 and 8

Beginning with “The Story of Worcestershire So Far” on Thursday 2 April and ending a week later, Thursday April 8, WLEP will share news stories and business successes together with what’s happening behind the scenes from the WLEP, key partners and business enablers.

Every day users can get involved with “Spring 2020 in Worcestershire” through live interaction as the WLEP Twitter account gets a “Spring 2020 Takeover”. The team will be on-hand to answer any questions, provide information and support with advice and guidance.
