Worcester MP Robin Walker met with the co-chair of a leading brain condition charity to mark rare disease day.

Mr Walker invited Paul Davis, from Worcester, to Westminster to discuss the initiatives of the brain impairment charity, Cavernoma Alliance UK, and to offer his support for the work they do in caring for people with a little-known brain condition called a cavernoma. A cavernoma is a dilated cluster of blood vessels which occur in the brain, brain stem or spinal cord, causing headaches, visual distortion or even strokes. Often misdiagnosed, it is thought as many as 90,000 in the UK carry this condition.

Mr Walker promised to use his influence within Parliament to raise awareness of the condition.

Mr Davis was recently appointed co-chair of the UK-wide charity, which helps fund research, raises awareness and supports sufferers.
