COTSWOLD MP Sir Geoffrey Clifton Brown and local radio presenter Peter Lewis joined colleagues, residents and members of the local community for a celebration open day commemorating the major refurbishment at Mill House Nursing Home in Chipping Campden.
Mill House is the latest home to receive a fresh new look from owner, independent national care provider Caring Homes.
The team at Mill House have won over 16 major national and local awards in 2019 for their care, hospitality, activities, food, and residents back to work project, whilst also being rated good by the CQC for the second consecutive year.
The team invited Sir Geoffrey to observe what Mill House offers the local community including free day care, regular interest clubs, intergenerational projects, wonderful hospitality and events.

After his visit, he said: “The Mill House team is incredible friendly and diligent, who know their roles and are genuinely interested in what they do.
“The refurbished bedrooms were impressive, and it was wonderful to see that the chef is 4-star trained and previously worked at a renowned local hotel and is relishing working in a care environment.”
There was, for two lucky residents, a Valentine's Day surprise with the help of the Mill House team, as the ladies were invited to join their husbands for a private dining experience including their very own butler service, champagne and flowers.
One of the ladies said: “I have been married 66 years and it’s the most romantic he has ever been. I suspect Mill House gave him a nudge, but it’s been the best Valentine's I have ever had.”
